Nigeria Battles to Take on Boko Haram

This is all that remains of one of the cars used to launch a twin bomb attack in a crowded market in the town of #Jos, in central #Nigeria. The blasts killed over 120 people, making it one of the deadliest attacks for some years. No one has claimed responsibility but it bears all the hallmarks of #BokoHaram, the Islamist group that recently abducted over 200 girls from their school in Chibok.
A solider serving on the frontline told us the Nigerian army is demoralised, outnumbered and outgunned, following a series of attacks by the group. Here’s the TV report I shot on the Jos bombings, reported by my colleague Gabriel Gatehouse: http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-27497853
